Samson offer 2 main types of free standing shading solutions - medium to large Umbrellas or butterfly type awnings, basically 2 awnings supported on a free standing steel framework manufactured to the size required.
Both options are available as manual or electric operated solutions.
Terrasol
The Terrasol is a free standing butterfly folding arm awning system and is the ideal solution to cover large areas as a self supporting structure. At its maximum size it will cover 36 square metres at 6 metres long with 2 no. 3 metre awnings projecting at opposite sides.
The Terrasol is custom made to individual requirements from a 3m x 3m unit up to the 6m x 6m maximum coverage.
The galvanised steel frame structure support can be surface fixed or slotted into an underground sleeve concreted into the ground. The framework is either white or brown as standard but can be powdercoated to any other colour on request. The pitch of the awning projection can be adjusted from 5 to 20 degrees.
Lights and heaters can be easily incorporated into a Terrasol system for added comfort in the colder months and evenings.
 
The operation of a Terrasol is either manual or remote control with extras such as wind and rain sensors available to ensure it cannot be left out in bad weather by mistake.
There are over 200 fabric colours to choose from to ensure a worthy enhancement to the surrounding area. Ideal for large patios, pool sides, pub garden, restaurant terraces or schools and nurseries.
Large Umbrellas
Umbrella is perhaps the wrong description when you see a 78 square metre umbrella fully open capable of sheltering many different seating arrangements. As well as the large sizes available many of these large umbrellas are tested up to gale force 8 wind speeds, essential in the U.K.
The shapes available to choose from are square, rectangular, octagonal or even inverted for trendy cafes or nightclubs.
The support for these different models can be either a central pole or a cantilever side arm support with limited or full adjustment depending on your requirements.
 
Stylish side valances or even full length side walls are available and when more than one unit is used they can in fact be attached using a simple zip connected rain chute to channel water away from the covered area.
Heating and lighting options give a fantastic ambience underneath the parasols and enable use most of the year round whilst creating a great visual attraction and inviting ambience to draw new customers in to your establishment.
Branding and graphics can also help advertise your business to the outside world and passers by and can be positioned anywhere on the parasol accordingly.
