The Markilux 1700 patio awning has a very filigree appearance, with organically curved shapes, and thanks to a modular system design it is optionally also available with cassette.

An excellently designed awning, incredibly strong yet delicate in appearance.

It boasts a harmonious, contemporary design with flowing, organic contours.

Like other Markilux awnings, the 1700 uses the bionic tendon technology for the sturdiest arms.

In almost playful fashion, the torque bar and fabric roller tube of the awning seem to fuse into one at the droplet-shaped roller tube support bracket.

The attractive front profile, made of extruded aluminium with integrated gutter and water drainage spouts, is inconspicuous and graceful.

The end caps are also available in polished chrome and offer that optional designer touch.

The extremely sturdy awning construction makes it possible to shade even very large areas safely.

The unique arm technology with power transference using bionic tendon made of high-tech fibres with extremely high tensile strength has been fully tested by The Fraunhofer Institute. Available in standard markilux colours, Lounge and non-standard RAL colours. And it is also available in a stretch version so that deep, narrow patios and balconies can be shaded.

Choice of fabrics

All fabric covers made from sunsilk and sunvas snc in the current Markilux collection, including the exclusive visutex fabric series, are available. A valance is supplied as standard and is detachable if required.

Dimensions

The Markilux 1700 is available with a maximum width of 700 cm. The maximum projection is 400 cm.

Thanks to special folding arm technology it can also be manufactured as the Markilux 1700 stretch, which contains a larger projection than the width. The Markilux 1710 stretch is available up to a maximum width of 400 cm. The maximum projection is 400 cm. Greater projection than width: the perfect solution for narrow patios, niches and balconies.

The supporting arms have to cross over each other with any awning projecting out further than its width and this means a larger area is required for installation and larger brackets too. A four metre projection is possible with only a 2.5m width!!

Operation

Manual operation, by means of a stainless steel winding handle attaching to an easy to locate eyelet on either the left or right hand side of the awning. On request, a hard-wired electric motor or an RTS radio-controlled motor with Markilux remote control operation can be fitted and controlled with many various devices. Usually the popular control is a handset with push buttons or a wall switch inside but many other devices can be used including safety devices such a wind sensors to close the awning if the wind speed gets too high.

Frame Colour

The stylish colour and material combinations of the Lounge style line give this semi-cassette awning its own individual touch. All Markilux semi-cassette awnings can be powder-coated in the colours of the Lounge style line without surcharge.

The end cap colours can also be customised to your choice in either polished chrome or finished to match the frame colour.
