Weinor Pergotex Retractable Roof Canopy, London.

The well known and respected Chubb Insurance European Group requested the installation of a Pergotex awning to be installed on the roof of their offices, in order to function as an entertainment and relaxation space for the their guests and staff. Based on the 7th floor terrace of their office, located close to The Tower of London, this area was to be turned into a hospitality area.

Key factors to consider were the high wind resistance, with the need for a sturdy structure, whilst still offering a retractable roof for the sunnier and calmer days. The Weinor Pergotex is a perfect solution of medium sized applications where all year round weather protection can be provided from the very sturdy vinyl roof, yet still be retracted if needed.

We installed a Weinor Perfotex system with a 9m width and a 6.5m projection.

Rainwater is directed down to the front and to an integral rain gutter, to be taken away down the drainage in the supporting legs to avoid splashes and ensure maximum rain protection.

At the push of a remote control button, the entire roof can be retracted. Optional sliding glass doors and vertical blinds can be added to this system to totally enclose the area if required, however in this case we didn’t believe this option was necessary.

We also believe this is an attractive addition to the City of London Skyline and helps the already fantastic looking Chubb terrace truly stand out..
