SAMSON POLYCARBONATE CANOPY WITH BUILT IN GUTTER
Fixed polycarbonate aluminium veranda system by Samson at 10m wide to create additional covered space outside a busy Maida Vale London restaurant. Perfect protection from the rain and additional light sun shading by the use of opal polycarbonate glazing.
Samson Outdoor Living were approached for a solution to cover the external area in front of a restaurant in London primarily for weather protection.
Natural side protection from wind and rain already existed with bushes and glass balustrading.
Our Samson P16 veranda was chosen as one of the best solutions here. The system is limitless in its width and the width here was 10m with a projection of just under 3m.
The aluminium framework is in an anthracite Powdercoat final finish and the multi layered polycarbonate roof was chosen in an opaque finish to provide sun and glare protection as well as the obvious rain protection all year round.
The rainwater falling on this canopy is collected in the front profile guttering and taken down some or all of the support posts to be driven away at low level away from the protected area.
This building previously had retractable fabric awnings. but their pitch was not sufficient to deal with rainwater effectively. This new Samson canopy system can deal with heavy rain and even has a snow load rating too.
