We were approached by the Future Dreams Charity for a solution to some outdoor seating on their London terrace and offices. Due to the shape and size the best solution to have something totally retractable but able to provide good levels of shading was the Markilux 1600 Stretch awning.

This is an awning which features crossover arms for the extension and the fabric cover meaning it can extend out further than its width, something most other awnings cannot do.

2 of these high quality German manufactured awnings, each at 3100mm wide and with a 4000mm projection provided a great level of sun shading protection on this terrace and combined with 3 no. electric infra-red heaters also gave a comfortable outdoor seating area in slightly cooler weather.

The beautiful Perla FR (fire resistant) fabric chosen on these 2 awnings certainly works with the surroundings and also provides a specially treated fabric offering fire resistance but also a tougher fabric overall, perfect for a commercial application.

The anthracite metallic finish for the aluminium cassettes and arms is timeless and perfect on almost any property, new or old.
