LARGE BUTTERFLY AWNING WITH STABILITY BOX SUPPORT

A free standing, large 7m x 5m butterfly awning system on this outdoor drinking and eating area on the river in Oxfordshire. Simple control of these 2 electric awnings as required by remote.

We were asked to quote for installing a self-supporting Syncra system for a pontoon area by the river and the Markilux Syncra is the obvious choice here with a lack of fixing points anywhere else.

The aluminium framework system is supported by 2 very large steel weighted boxes which also act as extra seating when clad with timber.

They have almost a metric ton of weight inside them to prevent any movement at all when the awnings are extended and in use.

This system has 2 awnings on it which have been carefully adjusted to maximize their extension and not clash with windows.

Operation is by electric motor drive and remote control handsets.

As usual the awnings are fitted with sensors to ensure they close fully if the weather and particularly the wind gets too rough, just in case anyone has left the awnings extended and forgotten.
