Every so often, a project comes along that challenges us to go above and beyond—and this year’s standout installation took us all the way to the beautiful island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
Though not part of our usual service area, we were eager to take on this unique opportunity, proving that Samson Outdoor Living goes the extra mile—literally—to deliver exceptional results.
The customer was confident he’d chosen the right team after his search for a trusted company that could deliver quality weather protection solutions. Backed by the recommendation from Vicky on our sales team and Micky’s virtual survey, the plans came together seamlessly.
The Perfect Outdoor Solution
The journey began when the customer reached out with measurements and ideas for a weather-resistant, year-round outdoor solution for his stunning beachfront property.
Our head installer, Micky, stepped in with his expertise, conducting a detailed consultation and virtual survey via video call. With years of specialised training in Weinor products, Micky quickly identified the perfect match for the customer’s needs: the Weinor Terrazza Pure, complete with RGB LED lighting to create a warm and inviting outdoor space for entertaining.
The customer opted for underglass awnings and Vertitex drop fabric valances on all sides, adding even more versatility and comfort to their outdoor retreat.
Vicky also played a crucial role in helping the customer select the perfect colours and finishes for the installation. Reflecting on her involvement, she said, “I’m just so pleased he was happy with the colours as he asked me to help him put them together!”

The Journey to Guernsey
Installing on an island called for careful logistics. To protect the product during transit, Micky and Jamie, two of our expert installers, drove our VW Crafter fitting Van and our New Maximover perfect for delivering products from the UK to Guernsey. Their route included a drive to Folkestone, a journey through the Channel Tunnel, a ferry from Saint-Malo to Guernsey, and an overnight rest before arriving at the property.
After arriving on Wednesday morning, they worked (with a rather nice view) to complete the installation, and by Saturday morning, the team were back in the UK.
A Lasting Impression
The result was breathtaking. The sleek aluminium veranda, enhanced with RGB LED lighting, underglass awnings, and drop fabric valances, has transformed the customer’s outdoor space into a cozy, stylish retreat, perfect for entertaining all year round.
