FAQs
What is a Weinor Pergotex?
The Weinor Pergotex is a newly developed and highly effective retractable fabric roof canopy system using a very tough vinyl fabric, far thicker and stronger than normal awning fabric.
The Pergotex system is a perfect terrace cover system where the entire canopy can be retracted when required to have an open roof. The aluminium framework is substantial and incorporates a rainwater guttering in the front profile with the water directed down the front support posts. As the structure is so strong other elements can be added t partially or totally enclose the system. Vertical blinds, sliding frameless glass doors, folding doors, fixed glass panels and so on all can be installed to the front and sides to make the Pergotex into more of an outdoor room for all year round use.
The Weinor PergoTex flexible folding roof converts a patio or terrace into a stunning outdoor living covered area or room with real Mediterranean flair. It is a high quality German engineered and manufactured product and made to bespoke sizes every time for a perfect installation.
When fully opened it lets you enjoy the full benefit of the warm sunshine, when closed, it provides light, heat and UV protection. For rain protection it even copes easily with a heavy down-pour (from a pitch of 8° or higher).
Tried and tested Weinor retractable roof technology provides a maximum degree of wind resistance.
The elegant PergoTex protects against sun, wind and rain. It is trans-formed into a stunning outdoor living room when equipped with vertical awnings or all-glass elements. You can extend and retract the tear-resistant, light-resistant and water-resistant PVC awning fabric with ease – for maximum pleasure and comfort all at the simple push of a remote control handset.
When closed, it provides shelter from excessive amounts of sun, wind and heavy rain downpours. When open, it lets you enjoy the sunshine without feeling over clouded. The self-supporting structure even withstands strong winds. The motor takes all the effort out of opening and retracting the tear-resistant, light-tight and waterproof PVC awning material.

Technical Stuff
Pergotex is available in single unit sizes up to 7 metres wide with a maximum projection of 6.5 metres and can be joined together with other units to make larger units.
The unit is primarily designed to fix to an existing building structure but also has the option to use a goalpost framework to be a standalone system when required. Concrete slabs are required for the key installation points for the support posts. The front support posts can be concreted or screwed onto the pads depending on the constructional circumstances
The tear resistant PVC fabric of the Pergotex is fastened to robust aluminium transom sections enabling the roof when extended to withstand wind strengths of up to 8 on the Beaufort scale!
With a minimum recommended inclination of 8 degrees for the roof pitch it allows rainwater to drain forwards into a front mounted integral guttering system taking the rainwater down in the integrated drainage pipes in the support posts.
This is a serious weather protection system for commercial or domestic use providing very real all year round cover, and the only real danger ever being the heaviest of snow falls in the coldest of conditions, a time when ‘outdoor living’ is probably put on hold anyway!
