What is the best Glass Veranda in the UK?

As of 2024 the UK market is flooded with so many polycarbonate and glass veranda systems, all claiming of course to be the best, or indeed the cheapest. You definitely don’t want the cheapest but which one is best? Don’t forget these verandas have to sit and take the full force of the British weather 365 days a year over and over, so quality and specification is very important.

There are some solid brands who have been manufacturing aluminium structures for many years very successfully and have developed the systems to be the very best in terms of longevity and performance.

If you want the lowest price polycarbonate veranda for some basic cover and are not bothered if it lasts very long then your best bet is the internet and see which probably unknown brand is selling the size you want at the lowest price. Good luck with that..

If you want a glass veranda which you know has been manufactured, tested, developed and offers a great guarantee and has also been developed specifically for the UK and Northern European climates then there are only a few and they will not be the cheapest.

A great glass veranda will have far more material in it and be more robust and heavier than any DIY systems sold in standard sizes and kit form.

There are numerous brands on the internet which are simply rebranded systems, so often you will be looking at the same manufacturer or profile assembler many times over with different prices. There are many ‘assemblers’ who simply take profile components and match them up with each other, rather than manufacturing a complete veranda system in house, from scratch, to then be installed to suit the property perfectly.
